Abstract

Exascale and next-generation computer architectures feature hybrid elements and enhanced parallelism throughout the node, requiring new approaches to achieve high performance. The past few decades of wasteful, gas-guzzling CPUs have encouraged some poor driving practices. We will describe a number of approaches to getting the best performance out of your new hybrid vehicle and present some early experiences with alternative driving styles.
